With only 456,976 possible combinations and billions of internet users, four letter .com domain names are considered to be rare and quite collectable among many domain name reseller and collectors. Many end users are starting to see the value in the 4L.com as being an easy to remember domain name for their customers to remember. As of July 1st, 2007 there were only 28,186 four letter .com domain names remaining available for registration. Most industry experts agree that four letter dot com domain names will sell out sometime between now and next summer.
LLLL.com statistics UPDATED: As of August 3rd, 2007 there were only 20,849 available LLLL.com's to register. Four letter .com domain names are quickly selling out and will soon all be gone. Once all of the LLLL.com domain names are resisted the value is expected to quickly jump.
LLLL.com statistics UPDATED: On September 15th, 2007 the number of available four letter .com domain names has fallen to only 12,378. It is predicted that by the end of the 2007 year all LLLL.coms will be registered.
LLLL.com statistics UPDATED: On October 26th, 2007 the amount of remaining four letter .com domain names has dropped to only 5,882 remaining available for registration.
FINAL UPDATE: November 10th 2007 On November 2nd, 2007 all LLLL.com's were officially sold out. The decrease in available names was steady through the recent years and domain experts don't expect to see any available names containing United States abbreviations to drop. Some of the best places now to buy LLLL.com's are private portfolio websites like Name Manor or aftermarkets such as eBay, and Sedo.
